Days after Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan named a thirteen member-committee as an Advisory body to the National Dialogue, he has officially inaugurated the committee.
Addressing the gathering at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Jonathan emphasized the need for the National Conference stating that the project was a sincere and fundamental undertaking, aimed at realistically examining and genuinely resolving, longstanding impediments to the country’s development and unity.
He further explained why he bowed to the call for the call for a National Dialogue after initially opposing the idea.
